hi weldon,
i'm sorry to hear about the cancer, but glad to know you are doing well.
i've been a lak, rbk for 25 yrs.
i used to wear a mauch SNS knee. i never had a problem with it, and it
NEVER "dropped" me.
before i tried the mauch, i used to fall alot.
i decided to try the c-leg 5 yrs ago.
all in all, the c-leg is a good leg. IT has NEVER dropped me.
i have no complaints about the c-leg, other then the cost, and the fact that
you have to plug it in everynight.
and the only thing i can do on the c-leg that i couldn't on my mauch is walk
forward down a ramp.
i don't know if it's "all that" like they clam it to be, but that would be
because i'm not all that active.
i walk. i don't run, ride bikes, go hiking.....
do i think it's better than the mauch, not really,, but then i don't have
the opportunity to go back to the mauch, if i could, i might decide it is.
my prosthetist would like me to try the plie knee, i believe it is by
freedom. the cost is less then the c-leg, but it has to be charged, however, i
believe it has 2 batteries.
i use a total suction socket. no liners, no extras, so i can't speak to your
socket issues.
good luck in your quest.
:)
anita
In advance, THANK YOU VERY MUCH,
Weldon Wallick
