Hi. My name is Nancy Stone and I am a RBKA. I had my surgery two years ago this month. 



 I think I may be able to give you some advice on the nerve/phantom pain. My surgeon put me on Lyrica and the pain stopped within a half hour. The only problem with it is you can possibly gain weight rapidly. That's what happened to me....like 40 lbs. in six months and I can't get rid of it. But not having phantom pain is "somewhat" worth the weight. 



I have a guestion for you. What is different about how Dr. Ertl amputates a leg compared to how the average surgeon amputates a BK?
