TYLER, TX (KLTV) - The cyclists of Amputees Across America arrived to
find a welcoming crowd at Trinity Mother Frances Rehabilitation
Hospital.

It's a 3,500 mile journey and there have already been injuries. The
group of cyclists started out with five and is down to three. One
cyclist is hospitalized in Plano, Texas and another in Albuquerque.

The amputees' slogan is "Dream it...Believe it...Achieve it." So far
they have traveled across six states. But, they say their most
important job is right here encouraging other amputees to live their
life to the fullest.

Cyclist Abel Cruz lost his leg in a motorcycle accident. He say's
the biggest lesson is to simply move on.

"I think we have to accept fate. It is what it is and we just need
to move forward from there," said Cruz.

Doc Milligan has been cycling with Amputees Across America for
several years. He says the patients motivate him to keep moving.

" What keeps us motivated and keeps us pedaling are the people in
HealthSouth facilities. They inspire me more than I inspire them,"
said Milligan.
