Michael McKinney asked:

MM> I've had a few patients ask me in the recent weeks where they can
find winter boots that they can easily put their prosthetic foot in.
I've looked into a few options but still without an answer. Does
anybody know of a source for such?

Yes....L.L. Bean has a great shoe cover for less than twenty dollars.

Called the Adults' Stabilicers Lite

They add the traction of studded snow tires to your winter footwear
They are designed for winter walks
Work best with closer-fitting footwear, like shoes and sneakers

Ann at L.L. Bean advises me that sizing is "small" and she recommends
measuring shoe size by sitting down. She had to get one size larger
than her usual.

It is listed under Item TA 230117

They also carry a 'deluxe' pair for $54.00
