Reminder:  APRA-NW Workshop on December 1, 2000

What is planned giving?
What are the different kinds of planned gifts?
What makes a good planned giving prospect?
How can your organization identify good planned giving prospects?

Please join APRA-NW for its December workshop on Planned Giving and Prospect
Research.  This exciting workshop will be presented by Anne Knapp, Director
of Planned Giving for the American Heart Association's 5-state Northwest
Affiliate.

What day?		Friday, December 1, 2000
What time?		2pm - 4pm
Where?		University of Washington Development Office, 5th Floor

Cost?			Free to APRA-NW members, $10 fee for non-members

Anne Knapp is a Certified Financial Planner with over 20 years of experience
in personal finance and estate planning.  Previous positions include Vice
President for Institutional Advancement at Rocky Mountain College in Montana
and at Manchester College in Indiana, as well as Vice President at Frances
Slocum Bank & Trust in Indiana.  She is currently co-chair of the Washington
Planned Giving Conference, co-chair of Leave a Legacy for Western Washington
and chair of the Investment Committee of the University Congregational
Church.

Directions to the Workshop:

The UW Development Office is located at 1200 5th Ave between Seneca and
University Streets.  
Heading south on I-5, take the Union Street exit.  
Turn left on 5th Ave and go 1 block.  
The office will be on your left-hand side.

Note:  The UW Development Office does not have its own parking lot.  Because
parking in public lots can be expensive, consider carpooling or taking the
bus.  The closest public lot is 1/2 block from the office.
