UW President Richard McCormick and the President's Advisory Committee
on Women (PACW) invite you to attend the PACW Fall Kick-off on
Thursday, November 12 at 1:30 p.m. in the HUB.  All five women on the
UW Board of  Regents -- Mari Clack, Constance Proctor, Shelly Yapp,
Cindy Zehnder, and Jennifer Frankel -- will form a panel that will
discuss women in leadership and the issues they face.  Topics to be
addressed include:

  		

			- breaking the glass ceiling

			- "If I knew then what I know now"

			- strategies for navigating career tracks

			- mentoring issues.


The panel discussion will be followed by a reception.  


The first event of its kind at UW, the kick-off will bring together
student, staff, and faculty organizations from across campus who are
involved or interested in women's and diversity issues.  The event will
provide UW women's groups and others the opportunity to meet and mingle
and exchange information about their resources.


The panel discussion will take place in HUB room 209AB from 1:30 p.m.-
3:00 p.m.  The panelists will be introduced by President McCormick.   A
reception will follow in HUB room 310 from 3:00-5:00 p.m.
