that attendance has been low. I would like to first state that I *really*
do support WAC, fully as much as I did last year, I simply do not have
time to go to meetings.

I WOULD LIKE TO PROPOSE: That because we are all important to WAC, we find
a new way to increase participation, without overburdening what are
already horrible schedules.

Here is one suggestion. We meet over email. Through email we can propose
and dole out suggestions for appropriate ways for WAC to aid UW. We can
establish timelines for individual projects and communicate primarily
through computers. [How much time do *you* spend on email everyday
anyway?]

For instance: We can discuss the budget for the year. How do we want it
spent? Another film fest? What about hot issues like sexism in textbooks,
or encouraging students to vote [and being very clear about the
implications of i-200, although not taking a stance]. What about
sponsoring sexism in the classroom training for one hour in every class
that meets this quarter? That would be a huge project, but worthwhile yes?
there's so much we can do!!!!

So, for further discussion, let's do it via email. please respond with
comments to asuw_women@
