Minutes from today's WAC Meeting:

1. OPEN HOUSE is TOMORROW! Show up between 2-3:30 to help decorate. Show
up between 5-7 to party!

2. Voter's Guide: We did not get our voter's guide approved with the
advisors. If you are interested in finding out what is on the ballot,
please visit this website.
If you are interested in helping with a voter's guide published by Ruckus
(it is partisan), contact ruckus at u.washington.edu

3. The new TEXTBOOK Campaign.
Here are some of the goals we've discussed:
-developing a complaint system for biased, sexist,
	racist, etc. textbooks
-Establishing a policy for professors in choosing texts
We will be checking in next week to discuss our initial findings:
	-Involving Academic Steering committee: Ray
-Researching if there is a history of text complaints: Jill & Ray
-Developing a survey for students: Libby
	-Contacting the Daily: Ariel
-Talking to a few women studies profs: Ray, Amanda, Suzanne
Future ideas include: Student Senate and GPSS resolutions
Writing letters to the publishers of texts

Those are all of the pertinant details. See you tomorrow!

Thanks,

Ray Liaw
Director
