Subject: FYI - Student Needing Assistance
For my Senior Project, I am creating a book called the
Asian American Youth Magazine. This project is going to
be a literary and artistic magazine composed of writing
and artwork by Asian Americans aged 13-23 from around
the Seattle area. Its theme is about the experience of
growing up Asian American, Asian American identity, and
Asian American life and culture. Its purpose is to
create a collection of Asian American life that all
Asian American students can relate to and to provide an
interesting eye-opener for those unaware of our culture.
In order to make this project meaningful and successful,
I need to reach out to the community to obtain
interested participants who care to share their insight,
experiences, stories, and pictures. If you would like to
help me publicize for students to contribute to my
magazine, I would be very thankful! Just notify me as
soon as possible. The deadline for submissions is
December 15, 1999. A flier, information,
and an entry form is available.
It would be of great help if you could
announce my project to your classes, group, or school,
and post fliers ( please call for flyers) as necessary. For questions or
concerns,
please e-mail at beverlymw at worldnet.att.net or call me
at home at (206) 367-4030 or school at (206) 361-4286.
Thank you very much for your time and
support.
