Here's what I propose vis a vis the whole single-sex meeting issue.

Meetings, including discussions, are open to everyone.  Exceptions to this
policy can be requested for special reasons specific to one meeting, such
as a topic (like rape/sexual assault) that may bring up serious issues for
some people.  You can request such an exception by emailing
eagen at u.washington.edu, which is my personal email and does not post to
the listserv.  Such requests will be confidential.

I don't anticipate this being a problem, but since the question was raised
it's probably better to have a clear policy on this.  Hope to see
EVERYBODY at as many discussions as you can make --
