Agenda for 12/5 meeting...

[ASUW Womens Action Coalition]

Hey y'all.  

This Women's Action Commission meeting will be the last one before winter
break... we'll resume meeting the first week of January.  If you're
available, please try and make this last meeting of the year so we can tie
up some loose ends, discuss Inga's upcoming visit, etc.  Plus, I have
TREATS for everyone who attends the meeting!  Yeah!  I'll see y'all on
Tuesday at 4 pm in HUB 201.

Here's what we're doing:

Agenda/Items to discuss:

1. Library list: I will be completing library list next week.  If anyone
wants to check out materials over winter break, just let me know so I can
put your name down.

2. Programming:
q Magdalen Hsu-Li:
n The concert went great.  Thanks to all who helped out.  
n Total costs of concert:  Honorarium:  $1000-$250 GBLTC-$100 ASC = $650
   Room rental:  $110
   Advertising (posters):  $60
   Advertising (Daily Ad):  $130
   ADA Interpreter:  $140
   TOTAL COST:  $1090 ($190 Ad., $900 Prog.)
q National AIDS Awareness Fair:  Big success.  I picked up lots of cool
new stuff for office!
q Inga Muscio:
n Awaiting return of contract in order to begin advertising.
n Poster idea:  "Flower" or picture?  
n Advertising:  Posters-- will create next week.  Daily Ad-- will also
create next week.  Ruckus article-- Who do I need to contact?
q V-day:
n Began interview process for director on Monday.  Update:
n Will begin auditions for casting as soon as we have a director.
n Dates of performance:  Feb. 20, 22, 7 pm
q Women's History celebration:  Sarah Jones

q Spring concert:

q Home Alive:
n Update?
q Total events calendar:  Will be compiling in next few weeks.  Will lay
out all dates for events, and will have estimates of costs for those
events.

3. Recruiting:
q WAC logo:  Will be working on creating a poster similar to GBLTC's over
next few weeks.  Should have some results after winter break.
q Commission "tours":  Should be in planning after winter break.
q Meeting times next quarter:  Possible suggestions:
n Mondays:  3:30, 4:00
n Tuesdays:  3:00, 4:00
n Wednesdays:  3:00, 4:00, 5:00
n Thursdays:  2:30, after 5:30

q I will be in the office next week during my regular office hours if
anyone needs me.  My office hours will change next quarter; I will post
new office hours during the first week of winter quarter.
