Important WAC information...

[ASUW Womens Action Coalition]

Hey y'all...

Three things:

1.  Meeting times next quarter-- I've gotten about 5 responses from WACers
saying that Tuesdays at 4 isn't such a good time to meet after all.  What
about Wednesdays at 5 instead?  Email me back and let me know what works
better for you, Wednesdays at 5 or Tuesdays at 4.  Hopefully we can find a
time that works best for the majority of the group.

2.  I received a letter from our Student Regent John Amaya, and he is
asking WAC to appoint a representative to serve on the Student Regent
Advisory Board.  Basically, what this committee does is advise John, who
has a position on the Board of Regents, about the important decisions the
Regents make.  This is a really good opportunity for WAC to have its voice
heard, because the Board of Regents makes the really important decisions
for the UW.  The first meeting is on Jan. 11 (that's a Thursday) at 2:00
pm.  If anyone is interested, please email me back and I'll get you in
touch with John Amaya.  I really encourage someone to fill this position--
I think it will be an awesome opportunity to really have an influence on
the people that make the decisions for the UW.

3.  I contacted Toys in Babeland about possibly co-sponsoring Inga in
January, and I received a letter back saying that they're interested and
that my contact (Keri) just needs to talk to the other managers to figure
out if they're going to be able to help us out financially.  I'm really
excited about this, and I'll let you know as soon as Keri emails me back
with more details about Toys in Babeland's contribution.
