Dear WAC,
I wanted to let you all know that for personal and health reasons I have
resigned my position as director of the WAC. I truly, truly regret having
to do this, not the least of which is the great experinces I have had
workign and talking with you all.
This is not at all a reflection on WAC as an organization, nor on the
ASUW, nor on anything else but my need to have more time and reduced
stress.
I am not sure what will happen as far as director goes -- whether an
interim director can be appointedd or whether there will need to nbe a
full hiring process. I will keep you updated on this via this listserv,
but I will no longer have access to the asuwomn email address. Youcan use
my private email --eagen at u.washington.edu -- if you have any questions, or
concerns, or if you want to bawl me out.
It has been great, and I am very hopeful we will be able to create some
events this spring. I expect to remain active in WAC and on my
committees, but I cannot, due to many interrelated causes, continue as
director.
Thanks to you all,
Meg
