International Women's Day is March 8!

Hi everyone!  I know things have been confusing about the status of WAC
and I hope I can sort some things out.  I have taken upon the role of
director and I will start holding office hours as of next week.  As soon
as I know I will post my hours, so please PLEASE come visit me.

Now about International Women's Day.  Yes, there was a meeting last night
and planning has begun.  We recognize that this is very short notice for
planning an event but we hope that we can get as much accomplished as
possible.  Unfortunately,  as far as my understanding goes WAC cannot
sponsor this event for various reasons.  This does not mean that we cannot
still have an event.  What it means is that we do not have WAC $$$$ nor
the name.But I still hope that all of us involved with WAC will become actively
involved in planning and attending.  

The plan as of yet is to have a rally/awareness campaign on the HUB lawn
on March 8 at noon.  We are having a sign making party on this sunday
(2/28) at 1 p.m. in the HUB student rescource room.  I will get back to
you with the room number but it is in the basement on the right as you go
down the stairs.  PLEASE come and help us out.  We are trying to make this
event happen in a very small amount of time and we need as much help as
possible!!!!!!!
