Roe event

[ASUW Womens Action Coalition]

Hi!  Long time no chat.

The meeting this Wednesday was well-attended.  Due to some serious
logistical problems with sppeakers and moderators, we have decided to
postpone the Roe event from January 25 to the week of February 15th.
I apologize to anyone who might have problems with the new date; it's a
long story that I will tell you if you come in to talk during office
hours.

We also explored some ideas for women's history month and women in the
arts.  I hhave emailed Sister Spit to see if they will return  possibly
for Women in the Arts; no word on that yet.  Some of the ideas presented
were: women's sexuality through 20th century film (over two nights);
women's spirituality forum; a women's outreach event where different
women's organizations can meet and welcome new members; a safer sex event
(this may come in May with Hall Health's fair) with the nice toys in
Babeland people; a literary magazine a part of Women in the Arts; a second
film event in May for Women in the Arts, this time with women directors.
Did I forget any?

Let me know what you think.  I want to have Women's HIstory Month pretty
well nailed down by the middle of February, since March is such a
difficult month with finals and break.  

Meetings will be held Wednesdays at 4:30 in HUB 201.  Bring your friends.

Let's restart the discussion groups.  Topics?  Let me know by next meeting
(Wednesday the 27th) and we'll tawk.  No big whoop, just coffee talk.
