Subject: Sexual Assault Awareness Week



We're writing to encourage everyone to participate in Sexual Assault and
Relationship Violence Awareness Week (SARVA).  SARVA provides many
opportunities for raising all of our awareness about these devastating
issues, as well as opportunities to be proactive and speak out against
sexual and relationship violence.  There will be displays throughout
campus during SARVA week, as well as the following activities:

Monday, April 23rd -2:00 to 3:00p.m. -HUB Auditorium
	When a Kiss is not just a Kiss
	This innovative peer theater program helps the audience gain a new
	understanding of sexual assault.

Wednesday, April 25th - 5:30 to 7:30p.m. - Health Sciences
	SPARX Presentation
	Discussion about sexual assault and the role of the medical
	provider.

Thursday, April 26th - 11:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. - HUB Lawn
	Awareness Fair
	Learn about agencies on campus and in the community that work on
	sexual assault and relationship violence issues.

Thursday, April 26th - 7:00p.m. - HUB Lawn
	TAKE BACK THE NIGHT RALLY
	Come and use your voice to speak out against sexual assault and
relationship violence.  There will be a free musical performance by Carrie
Akre from 7:00 to 7:30p.m., then there will be an opportunity to share
your words, poetry or other art with the audience.
