I also want to call your attention to an article I saw today in
Women's Enews: "Anti-Feminist Ad Campaign Launched on Campus." It's
about a "Take Back the Campus" campaign that's been started by the
conservative Independent Women's Forum (the same group that sought
to discredit the MIT Report on Women in Science--and no, please,
let's not re-revive THAT discussion!). The IWF has placed ads in
three college newspapers, at UCLA, Dartmouth, and Yale. Here are
the first two paragraphs from the Women's Enews article:

> The full-page advertisement minces few words. "Combat the Radical
> Feminist Assault on Truth," reads the banner headline. "Are you
> tired of male bashing and victimology?" asks a sub-headline.

> The ad goes on to list "the 10 most common feminist myths,"
> challenging, among other things, statistics on college rapes,
> domestic violence and women's pay inequity.

You can read the entire article by Vera Haller at
http://www.womensenews.com/article.cfm/dyn/aid/566

It sounds as if the IWF is gearing up for a more widespread
campus "campaign" in the fall. Forewarned is forearmed.
