EQUITY PAY DAY RALLY!!! WAC EVENT!

[ASUW Women's Action Commission]

Support Equal Pay! 4/16, 12:20-1:20 Red Square

Did you know that women make 73 cents to the male dollar?  Or that for
African American women this statistic drops to 64 cents? And for Latina
women it's only 52 cents?  Do you find this as unacceptable as we do?

Then come to the Equity Pay Day Rally, on Tuesday April 16th, from 12:20
to
1:20 in Red Square.  Pay inequality is alive and well in America, and
we're
trying to do some thing about it.  Some the issues we're going to address
include the wage gap for women and people of color, the international
situation of women and equity pay, the treatment of Native women in
society
and the workplace, and equity pay at the campus level.

Event sponsors include VOX: Voices For Planned Parenthood, Students For
Choice, La Raza, the GBLTC, the Women's Action Comission, the Asian
Student Comission, and Panhellenic.  Academic sponsors are the Womens
Studies Department, the School of Social Work, and the Political Science
Department.  It's your paycheck, so come be a part of this campus wide
event.
