MAKE GOOD GOVERNMENT HAPPEN!

Volunteer for the Municipal League of King County Candidate Evaluation Committees

Good government doesn't just happen on its own.  It takes the dedication of involved citizens.  This summer, YOU can make good government happen.  Become a Municipal League volunteer and evaluate candidates for the state legislature, judicial offices, and other races. 

For almost 100 years, volunteers for the Municipal League of King County have rated candidates for public office on four criteria: character, knowledge, involvement, and effectiveness.  Unlike organizations which rate candidates based on platform or positions, the Municipal League provides a unique source of non-partisan information to voters.  We rate only to determine fitness for office.  We neither endorse nor compare candidates to one another. 

We need volunteers to serve on Candidate Evaluation Committees.  You will learn about the important issues facing King County, and meet with many of the candidates running for office to hear how they plan to address the issues.  It's fun and takes just a few evenings of your time this summer.  Candidate interviews will be held in late July and early August.
