The Washington State Legislative Internship Program 2006 *
Undergraduates from ALL MAJORS are encouraged to apply by October 25th
and participate in this program Winter 2006.
Those accepted to the program will spend winter quarter in Olympia and
will work closely
with members of the State House of Representatives or Senate.
In addition to their work in these offices,
students participate in weekly academic seminars, shadow important state
officials. They also take part in a mock budget exercise, a mock
hearing and a floor debate.
This is an unparalleled opportunity to gain insight and experience
in the inner workings of our state government. Nearly every student
who has
participated rates this internship as one of the best undergraduate
experiences that they have had in terms of their education and
professional development.
Please visit the website http://www.leg.wa.gov/common/interns/

Please return the completed application to Christina Kerr in 215 Smith Hall.
