Just a quick reminder that many of you senior English majors should be
applying for graduation NOW. If you are graduating at the end of
Winter, Spring, or Summer quarters AND you would like to have Graduating
Senior Priority (GSP) for your final two quarters of registration, then
you need to apply to graduate no later than:

NOVEMBER 2 2005

The process is pretty painless - just sit down with an English adviser
for about 15 minutes to sign paperwork and do a final review of
requirements.

GSP gives you two quarters to register ahead of the entire thundering
herd of students. The priority date for Winter is November 4, beginning
at 6:00 a.m. If you want to get into a course that is in short supply,
having GSP can give you a real advantage.

If you're not concerned about GSP, then you can apply for graduation as
late as the third week of your final quarter. However, applying now
greatly reduces the risk of unpleasant surprises ("What foreign language
requirement?") that can crop up without a degree plan review.
