University of Washington Press is again looking for a good English major 
as an office assistant.  This is a good chance to get a close look at 
how a major academic press works.  Convenient downtown location - finish 
class, jump one of the 70 buses, and you're there in 10 min.!

STUDENT HELPER POSITION-Starting Summer Quarter 07 and continuing into 
Fall Quarter (and beyond)

LOCATION:	University of Washington Press
		Book Production Department
		1326 Fifth Avenue, Suite 555
		Seattle, WA 98101

PAY:		$8.50 per hour

HOURS:	15 hours per week (hours are flexible but afternoons preferred)

DUTIES:	General office work: data entry, filing, faxing, photocopying, 
correspondence, packing proofs and manuscripts for FedEx pickup. Most of 
the work would be scanning illustrations (will train), preparing 
inventory lists of illustrations/maps, and book archives maintenance. 
Experience with Excel is desired.
