Rainier Scholars is a long term college prep program for low income
minority students in the Seattle area. Rainier Scholars mission is to
cultivate the academic potential of talented and motivated students from
ethnic minority backgrounds. By offering access to exceptional
educational opportunities and ongoing comprehensive support to our
scholars, we work to increase their college graduation rates and develop
new generations of leaders.
Currently Rainier Scholars is looking for volunteer tutors to help in
our Tutoring Center. Our *_Tutoring_**_ Center_**_ is open Tuesdays and
Thursdays from 3-5pm_*. We need tutors in the following areas:
Algebra
Geometry

Volunteers are required to pass a background check, have some experience
tutoring and working with diverse groups of people. If interested please
contact Jolenta Coleman at (206) 407-2148 or
