REMINDER:

English Graduate School Information Session
Tuesday, October 7
3:30-5:20 p.m.
THO 125

If you are interested in doing graduate work in English, be sure to
attend the upcoming workshops on preparing and applying for M.A. and
Ph.D. programs in English.

Our guests tomorrow will be Professor Kate Cummings, director of
graduate studies for our department, and Professor Maya Sonenberg,
director of creative writing. Our graduate directors will share their
insights into how you can best prepare for graduate work in literature
and creative writing, how you can put together a successful application,
and how you can succeed in graduate school. Believe me, there is
nothing quite like getting this information directly from the faculty
experts!

Dorian Taylor, a UW English and MIT alumna, will also make a brief
appearance to offer some quick information about preparation for
graduate study in other fields.
