Interested in blogging for arts events throughout Seattle?
Join a think-tank of fellow students from the College of Arts and Science in the innovative program-- ArtsLink (http://depts.washington.edu/artsl/)! ArtsLink is a program aimed at fostering community between the various arts-related majors here on campus. The natural overlap that occurs between majors such as English, Drama, Art History, CHID, and so on, creates a valuable atmosphere for cooperative research and extracurriculars.
ArtsLink is currently looking for an English major to represent the Department as well as write for the events blog. Researching art-related events throughout the greater Seattle area, the English intern will advertise and review with thought towards a greater liberal arts audience.
The new intern would work under me, Jessica Frederick, for the remainder of the Autumn quarter; the time commitment during this quarter would be informal as you were welcomed into the ArtsLink team and get a sense of the program and blogging needs. Come January, however, you will be leading the helm as English Department representative and blogmaster. We are thus looking for sophomores or juniors who will be around for a year or two.
Credit as an Art or English Department intern applicable.
Interested? Email a letter of interest to Jessica Frederick at jessimay at u.washington.edu
