Description:
The Washington State Holocaust Education Resource Center is looking to
hire one intern for the winter quarter at our downtown location. The
intern will be expected to work 10 hours per week on a set schedule.
The education outreach intern will work with the office staff on a
variety of tasks, including photocopying, checking?in Holocaust teaching
trunks (when they are returned from schools), data entry, assembling
educational materials, and assisting in preparations for upcoming
educational programs. The Holocaust Center seeks a responsible, reliable
intern with an attention to detail, a positive attitude, and a
willingness to learn. Prior knowledge of the Holocaust is not required.
The intern will receive $800 for the winter quarter, or 10 weeks.
About the Holocaust Center:
The Washington State Holocaust Education Resource Center?s mission is to
inspire teaching and learning for humanity in the classrooms and
communities of this region through the study of the Holocaust. The
Holocaust Center is a non?profit organization that provides educational
resources to teachers, including Holocaust Teaching Trunks, teacher
trainings, a quarterly newsletter, an active Speakers Bureau of
Holocaust survivors and liberators, a lending library of Holocaust
books, artifacts, and more. In addition, the Holocaust Center develops
public exhibits and programs intended to teach adults and students alike
about human behavior, social responsibility, and moral courage, through
the study of the Holocaust.
