CHID is offering a 2 credit (CR/NC) focus group "Editing intersections"
for Spring quarter that may be of interest. Students who wish to attain
full-time status without having to take 3 5-credit courses; and who
would also like to become a staff editor of an undergraduate academic
journal may find this a great opportunity.

Students participating in the focus group will join the staff of
intersections and edit submissions in a collaborative, relaxed
environment. Editors will have the opportunity to discuss ethical
editing practices in a real-world setting (in the act of editing another
student's work). We will also host two quest speakers who are actively
involved in the production of peer-reviewed, professional journals.

Toward the end of the term, finished articles will be formatted,
coordinated, and editors will have a chance to develop basic skills in
web-site production (no HTML required here).
