Does the thought of putting together your resume for graduation, for
summer jobs, or for scholarship or graduate school applications fill you
with dread and trepidation? Help is here!
English Advising and the UW Career Center present
RESUME WRITING FOR ENGLISH MAJORS
Wednesday, April 8th, 3:30 - 4:50pm
(prior registration required)
SPACE IS LIMITED. TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS WORKSHOP, YOU MUST RSVP (below).
In this session, you will learn to reflect broadly on your academic and
other student activities, your internship and volunteer or community
service experiences, and your adaptive and transferable skills so as to
demonstrate your value to your audience. You'll learn to tailor your
resume for particular positions and employers, compare resume formats, and
learn to highlight the valuable skills you've gained through paid and
unpaid experiences to make your resume stand out to prospective employers,
scholarship committees, etc.
English Resume Workshop space is limited, so please RSVP asap:
https://catalysttools.washington.edu/webq/survey/engladv/72660
We will reserve space for the first 30 people responding, and then
maintain a short waiting list. Please do *not* sign up unless you have a
firm intention of participating and are free that afternoon to attend the
session.
Thanks!
