This is a friendly reminder that the RSVP sites for both the Department of English Graduation celebration (June 10) and the university-wide commencement (June 13) are open NOW.

The university-wide commencement registration ends May 24: http://uwgraduation.com/

Any student earning a Bachelor of Arts, Master's or Doctoral degree from the English Department Autumn 2008 through Summer 2009 is welcome and encouraged to participate in the Department of English celebration.

The celebration will be WEDNESDAY, JUNE 10, 2:00 pm, in MEANY THEATER. If you plan to attend the English Department ceremony, you must RSVP indicating that you will participate and how many guest tickets you will need (the initial limit is 4, but there may be additional tickets available after the first allotment is distributed).  TICKETS CANNOT BE REPLACED!  You must RSVP by May 28, 2009, at this link:

Important information regarding the department celebration and the BIG
campus-wide commencement:

* THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT CEREMONIES: The English Department celebration on June 10 is separate from the university-wide commencement ceremony on June 13, and therefore you will need to register for each event SEPARATELY (RSVPing to one will not carry over to the other).  The campus-wide commencement information can be found at this URL: http://uwgraduation.com/

* CAP AND GOWN: You are welcome, but not required, to wear cap and gown to the English Department celebration on June 10. You MUST rent cap and gown to participate in the large university-wide commencement ceremony on June 13.  Cap and gown rental information is available on the commencement website: http://uwgraduation.com/

* PARKING: If you need parking permits for yourself or guests for the English Department celebration on June 10, you MUST purchase them through the university commencement website: http://uwgraduation.com/
