[Englmajors] Internship with DEBUT LIT (fwd)

DEBUT LIT is looking for an undergraduate intern to help manage our events 
and promotions for Fall semester 2010. Our preference is to work with a 
student who wants college credit for their participation.

DEBUT LIT is a national nonprofit reading series that promotes first time 
book authors of all literary genres.

Intern's title:  Communications Coordinator

Intern duties

?	Research & contact local event venues
?	Maintain local media & mailing lists
?	Submit calendar listings for local events
?	Manage book orders for local events
?	Manage book sales & mailing list sign ups at local events
?	Contribute content for newsletters, Website & social media updates
?	Graphic design skills a huge plus


Time commitment: 5-10 hours per week, mostly from home and concentrated 
near 1-2 event dates each semester.

What you can gain from the experience:  hands-on understanding of 
publishing industry, plus an opportunity to meet and work with published 
authors. Experience marketing and promoting events.
