The Youth Round #1



The Fremont Abbey Arts Center’s acclaimed monthly multi-arts show, The 
Round, is producing its first ever Youth Round! The Round format 
involves three songwriters, two slam poets and two live painters sharing 
the stage in name of artistic collaboration. The musicians take turns 
playing their own works and improvising with others’ songs, often with 
an improv backing band. Between musical rounds, the poets perform, often 
with improvisation by musicians in the background. Alongside the 
performances, the painters work throughout the event on their canvasses. 
Begun in 2005, the unique show has had many youth participants but never 
before has the show been entirely made up of Youth. Join us in starting 
a wonderful tradition at The Youth Round 1 on Friday, October 7th, from 
7 - 9 PM. Featuring musicians Kithkin (EMP Sound Off), Sonja Haroldson 
(Fremont Music School), Mads Jacobsen (STG's More Music @ the Moore), 
slam poets Troy Osaki (YouthSpeaks Seattle), Raven Taylor (YSS) and live
