*I**nternship Description: *

Gruman & Nicoll (http://www.gruman-nicoll.com) and Social Werks 
Communications (http://www.facebook.com/SocialWerks), an affiliate 
company of Gruman & Nicoll, are looking for interns for the spring and 
summer quarters. We are looking for motivated, disciplined, hard working 
individuals ready to expand their resume and work with some of Seattle 
and Bellevue’s best restaurants, hotels, retail developments, stores, 
and spas.Interns will learn the fundamentals of the public relations 
industry, expand their knowledge on social media, and network amongst 
some of the Pacific Northwest’s best. Internship hours are flexible, and 
some of the hours can be completed at home. Please submit a writing 
sample and resume.

*Intern Requirements: *

-12-15 hours a week (some of these hours will take place out of the office)

-3-4 months

-Unpaid with potential for stipend at end of internship

*Intern Qualifications: *

-Strong writing skills

-Adept at online research

-Accessibility to laptop

-Attention to detail and very responsible

-Responsive in a timely manner

-Communications background preferred

-Interest in social media (Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, Foursquare, etc.)

-Adept at Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

-Disciplined and self-motivated

*Intern Duties: *

-  Research for:

oPitches, proposals, and press releases

oMedia lists development

oLatest social media trends and news

-Write content for social media platforms for regional and national clients

-Put together reports for various clients

-Update on-line media calendars

-Monitor and add to visitor websites

-Contact visitor sites and upload content

-Monitor and add to community and social events calendar (keep a master 
calendar of what’s going on)

-Track assignments via daily/weekly reports
