The MyDoom virus attack that began Monday (Nov. 8) is winding down but
continues to be a hazard for unprotected computers. The following measures
   help avoid infections:
o Do not open unexpected, suspicious email messages.
o If you do open a message and decide it is
suspicious, do not click on any links in the
       message.
o Apply the SP2 Windows XP update. SP2 eliminates the
particular vulnerability used by this virus
(Note: applying the SP2 update does not fix
       an infected computer).
     o Update anti-virus software data files (C&C
       recommends having your anti-virus software
       set to auto-update frequently).
o Use a non-IE browser (such as FireFox) as
       your default browser.
