Problems with UW Exchange performance continue for some users. Since early
last week, UW-IT has been working with Microsoft, at the highest level of
priority for both UW-IT and Microsoft, to identify the root cause.
Troubleshooting indicates that a recent patch to Outlook 2010 has
increased the rate at which Outlook 2010 contacts the UW Exchange service,
creating a "flood." Although Microsoft is not expected to have a fix
ready soon, we have identified ways to reduce the load. Additional
details will be provided today to local UW Exchange support teams.
