FIELD TRIP ANNOUNCEMENT
Tomorrow's trip to Mt St Helens is cancelled due to continuing bad weather.
Perhaps we can do this in the Spring. Sorry guys! For those who can't make
it, no problem.
However......
Still on for Whidbey Island, though. Leading the trip will be our very own
Peter Neff! Please be in the courtyard at 7 AM, leaving around 7:15 or so,
with all the necessary gear. Especially a rain coat!
Other important things:
Hawaii: We need your name on the list if you intend to go ASAP! Please email
Dyan yondermountainbear at gmail.com. Also, we need your $150 DEPOSIT BY
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 2nd. Please make plans to have this money by then! Checks
make out to "UW Geology Club".
Hawaii Class Registration: All Hawaii goers must register for a special
class winter quarter. Please stand by for add codes, times, etc.
Bad Geo Movie Night: This is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, November
1st, 5:30. We have an awesome VHS of the WORST movie EVER! See this
trailer....its flippin sweet!
TROG: "From a million years back...Horror explodes into today! ":

NEXT MEETING: Before the Movie on Thursday, Nov 1st, 5:00. Please be
prepared to give your deposit if you haven't then. We also plan to talk in
great detail about the winter party. We need to know if you will sell
tickets or gather prize donations.
Climbing: I've talked to the manager at the IMA and he'll get back to me on
group discounts/renting the gym out. Probably will do this winter quarter.
But I climb a lot during the week, so if you want to join me please shoot me
and e mail!
Women's Shoes: I have a really, really nice pair of Montrail hiking boots
that just don't fit. Size 7. They are about $80 shoes and I'll sell them for
$30. Monster deal!
More on these things later, just keep them in mind and come to the next
meeting!
SEE YOU FOR THE FIELD TRIP!
