The e-mail I sent earlier this a.m. was in error regarding Geog 461. The
error was that I listed section AB as meeting MW, when in actuality we are
leaving AB as it stands: TTh at 9:30. Basically, the arrangement will be
for sections AA and Ac to meet MW, and sections AB and AD to meet TTh. The
TTh sections, AB and AD, will stay just as they are and have always been
in the Time Schedule. It is the MW sections that have changed to the
following:
Geog 461 AA, now meets MW 10:30-11:20
Geog 461 AC, now meets MW 11:30-12:20
These changes will show up on the web Time Schedule sometime early next
week.
Sorry about all this-we're running the risk of confusing everyone in order
to create maximum flexibilty for students taking geog 461 in combination
with other 400-level Geog courses next quarter. Thanks for bearing with
us.

There are a number of discrepancies between what is printed in the Time
Schedule and actual reality. These changes are marked in red on the big
poster-size schedule copy posted outside Smith 415. Most are minor room
changes, but there are a few major misdirections printed in the Time
Schdule which I thought you all would like to know about:
1) Geog 258, Maps and GIS, is 5 credits, not 3
2) Geog 302, The Pacific Northwest, meets MWF at 8:30, not 9:30
3) Geog 308, Canada, has been cancelled
4) Geog 367, Econ & GIS, has two sections, both of which are listed
erroneously in the TS. The reality is:
Geog 367 AA, Econ & GIS (5)
SLN: 8304
Instructor: Harrington
MF 1:00-2:20 Smi 415
W 12:30-1:50 Smi 401
Geog 367 AB, Econ & GIS 95)
SLN: 8305
Instructor: Harrington
MF 1:00-2:20 Smi 415
Th 12:30-1:50 Smi 401
5) Geog 445, Population Distribution, has added an extra section:
Geog 445 Section AC, Lecture TTh 9:00-10:20; section F, 10:30-11:20
SLN: 8494
6) Geog 461: the labs have been changed considerably:
sections AE and AF have been dropped
sections AA and AC have switched labs from TTh to MW, as follows:
Geog 461 AA, lecture MWF 9:30-10:20
lab MW, 10:30-11:20, Smith 401
Geog 461 AB, lecture MWF 9:30-10:20
lab MW 11:30-12:20, Smi 401
7) Geog 495 A, Women and the City (taught by new faculty member Kim
England), is erroneously listed in the TimeSchedule as Geog 480 B. It's
correct information is:
Geog 495 B, Special Topics: Women and the City (5)
SLN: 3834
Instructor: Kim England
meets: MW 10:30-12:20
