Job Title: Remote Sensing/GIS Specialist
Job Description: Perform spatial analysis for area studies in both a raster
and vector environment. Projects would include various applications in the
agricultural and natural resource sectors. Automates task by creating
customized scripts in AML, Avenue, and Visual Basics. Perform table
manipulation with a RDMS. Geo-reference and classify remotely sensed
images.
Job Requirements:
BA/BS in Geography, Computer Science or related discipline.
Experience with ArcInfo, ArcView
Desired Qualifications Include 1 to 2 Years Experience With:
AML/Avenue
Erdas Imagine
Visual Basic
MS Access
Further Information: The opening is for our Center for Spatial Analysis
(CSA) work group. We perform spatial analysis to help determine possible
environmental impacts. A candidate for this position should have interest
in Remote Sensing and GIS technology.
