Subject: Research assistant sought
I'm a graduate student at the University of California, Berkeley, doing
dissertation research on non-timber forest products industries in Mason
County, Washington. Specifically, my work involves studying the historical
political economy of the floral greens (wild-harvested understory plants
that are used as greenery for floral arrangements) industry, resource
access strategies of Latino, European-American and Asian brush harvesters,
and the environmental history of the forest understory. I'm interested in
hiring an assistant immediately to search for and retrieve library
materials at the U.W. library and perhaps elsewhere. Some other tasks
might also be involved. The pay is negotiable and could total 50-100
hours. If you're interested, please contact me at: (510) 601-0551 or
(360) 427-6887,
or email me at: kspreyer at nature.berkeley.edu.
