NUTR 562 - Nutrition and Chronic Disease

4 credits for course, 2 credits for Lab
Prerequisites: general nutrition, physiology, and biochemistry
SLN 5731 
4 credits;  Tues/Thurs 3:30-5:20

Epidemiology and pathophysiology of chronic disease related to nutrition
(e.g., obesity, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, hypertension,
diabetes). Nutritional risk and protective factors will be examined as
they relate to public health, individual nutrition, and clinical
interventions. Prerequisites: general nutrition, physiology, and bio
chemistry.
