Please publicize among your students--
The 21st annual meeting of the North American Cartographic Information
Society (NACIS) will occur soon:
October 3 through 6, 2001 in Portland, Oregon.
Students may attend for NO CHARGE by working at our Registration Desk for
>> Distributing name badges and registration materials to attendees.
>> Completing transactions to register attendees.
>> Helping with logistics=97carrying, fetching, fixing, finding.
>> Addressing miscellaneous questions and problems.
NACIS staff and experienced members will provide training and support.
Students who volunteer for four hours and have current student ID get a
conference registration for free. Offer does not include the Luncheon ($20)
and Banquet ($30), which can be purchased separately. See
http://www.nacis.org for conference program and additional information.
Interested students may contact me to learn more or to schedule their
volunteer hours. This essential service helps NACIS provide one of the best
and most economical conferences available.
