Selection criteria might  include you nominee's:

>  breadth and depth of knowledge, organization and clarity of

>  ability to help you understand the subject and see connections
>  with other course material or with the "outside world" as we sometimes
>  call it in academia

>  ability to help you produce your best work or excel in subsequent
>  Geography courses
>
>  ability to explain terms and concepts clearly and illustrate them
>  with  practical examples

>    ability to explain technical details and teach you in a hands-on
>  environment (such as a computer lab)

>     innovative teaching techniques
>
>     ability to encourage class discussion and include all students

>     ability to motivate, challenge,  help you develop an academic
>  interest and help you think critically
