Each year the Harry Bridges Center for Labor Studies offers a variety of
scholarships, prizes, and grants for UW faculty, students, and staff. Below
is a list of all opportunities, with award amounts, application deadlines,
and some eligibility information. Complete information about all of them can

PLEASE CIRCULATE AND ANNOUNCE THESE OPPORTUNITIES TO ALL FACULTY AND
STUDENTS!! PLEASE PRINT THIS TO ANNOUNCE IN SPRING QUARTER CLASSES!!
1) Research Grants for Faculty, Graduate Students, or Staff - $1,500-$2,500
Application Deadline April 30, 2007
2) Washington State Labor Research for Faculty - up to $10,000 Application
Deadline April 30, 2007 NOTE: These grants are dependent upon a legislative
appropriation
3) The Labor and Employment Relations Association Scholarship for graduate
and undergraduate students - $1,000 Application Deadline June 1, 2007
4) Martin and Anne Jugum Scholarship in Labor Studies for Undergraduates - a
full year of tuition Application Deadline June 1, 2007
5) Martha H. Duggan Fellowship in Labor Studies for Graduate Studies -
$10,000 Application Deadline June 1, 2007
6) Working Groups for Faculty - up to $7,500 Application Deadline June 1,
2007. Restricted Eligibility: Faculty in the History and Political Science
Departments, Bridges Center Faculty Associates, and other UW faculty who
have previously received an award from the Center
7) Best Undergraduate and Graduate Paper in Labor Studies - $250
Application Deadline June 8, 2007
