Some notes below for those of you planning to march in the Saturday, June 9 Commencement Ceremony. Note to undergrads: Graduation applications must be completed with a Geography adviser by April 13.

Your Steps to a Great Commencement Day
Husky Stadium – June 9, 2007

Visit www.uwgraduation.com for complete ceremony information.

1.	Eligibility:

Bachelor Candidates:  Students who earned a degree in Summer 2006, Autumn 2006, or Winter 2007, or have applied to graduate with a departmental advisor for Spring 2007 or Summer 2007 are eligible. Once the application for graduation has been completed and received by the Office of Graduation and Academic Records (206)543-1803, the student will then be eligible to complete the Commencement Registration/Order Form.

Master’s, Doctoral or Professional Candidates: Graduates who earned their degrees in Summer 2006, Autumn 2006, or Winter 2007, or candidates who have a reasonable expectation of graduating in Spring 2007 or Summer 2007 are eligible to participate.

Names Listed in Program:  The Commencement program lists the names of graduates from Summer 2006 through Spring 2007.  Note:  Spring 2007 candidates must have either their Application to Graduate (Bachelors), Master’s Degree Request (Master’s) or Request for Final Exam (Doctoral) submitted and received by the appropriate office by the April 13th deadline in order to have their names listed.  Summer 2007 graduates’ names will be listed in the following year’s program.  If you do not wish to have your name listed in the program you must contact the Office of the Registrar (206-543-5378).

2.	Signing up and Ordering Apparel, Parking Permits, and Guest Tickets on-line

Register/Place your order on-line:  April 30th – May 20th at www.uwgraduation.com

Husky Stadium Ceremony participants must register, order tickets, pre-paid parking permits, and apparel no later than May 20th via the above web form.

Apparel prices: Bachelor apparel (purchase only) - $26.95, Master’s apparel (purchase only) - $43.95, and Doctoral apparel (rental) - $51.95.  See website for Doctoral purchase information. Additional Bachelor & Master’s tassels (purchase) - $5.00 each.  Additional Master’s hoods (purchase) - $22.00 each.

Parking permits: - $10.00 (required for all ceremonies on June 9th, or any graduation related event within normal parking hours)

Payment will be taken on-line when finalizing your order.  Visa, MasterCard, a debit card, or valid checking account number will be accepted.

3.	Individual School/College or Departmental Ceremony participants must order via the above web form by May 20th, 2007, if your ceremony requires apparel or parking permits.  (Parking permits are required for all ceremonies occurring during normal parking hours or on June 9th.)

4.	Start planning now by considering the following:

Guest Tickets – Only request what you need.  All reasonable requests will be met.

Special accommodations –Determine if your guests need an assistive listening (FM) device, a sign language interpreter, mobility impaired seating, wheelchair seating, or an extra ticket for an attendant.

Measurements – Know your height in feet and inches and your weight in pounds. Ph.D.’s measure your head circumference one inch above your ears.  All Bachelor and Master mortarboards are one size fits all.

Announcements & Class Rings – Announcements are available through Jostens and Excition.  To place your order, visit www.jostens.com or  www.excition.com. Jostens Class Ring and Announcement Fair will be held at the HUB, April 3 - 4, and May 1 - 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Excition’s storefront at 5270A University Way NE is open Monday – Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

5.	Pick-up Your Order:  May 30th – June 2nd at the HUB from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (Your order will be ready for pick up on the date you choose on the web form.)

6.	Come to Husky Stadium, June 9th, at 12:00 p.m. and celebrate!  CONGRATULATIONS!
