Dear Professor Ellis,

I and my collegues at the law school are working on a project related
to the immigrant community in Seattle. As part of this project we
will be conducting some survey research, and hope you could help us
find some researchers.

Could you recommend some undergraduate student researchers? We would
like the students to receive academic credit in their department for a
write-up of their report. Would you be interested in sponsoring that
independent study credit?

We hope to identify a team of researchers before the end of next week.

Please find a summary of the research plan attached and feel free to
forward it to whomever you think might be interested. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Shange Petrini
