Hey Geographers,

Below you will find a call from interSECTIONS, a campus publication for undergraduates interested in disseminating their work. Unfortunately, the call is coming quite late (due March 14th), but you DO have an excellent chance of publication if you pursue this opportunity.

Take care,
Todd

Hey Geography majors!

interSECTIONS, a literary print journal on campus since 1991, is extending
their deadline to this Friday, Mar 14th. Get together some of your
best academic or creative work and take this opportunity to express yourself
and get published in interSECTIONS vol 9. 2008! Simply drop off
your literary submissions in the CHID office by this Friday afternoon in
Padelford B102. Essays and short stories can be no longer than 16 pages
double-spaced, and any one student can submit 2 essays, 2 short stories, and
5 poems. And please, two copies of each item with a coverletter including
your name, major, year, and title of piece.

Sympathetic to the hectic quarter's end, we will accept work that has been
written previously and polished class assignments that do not reference the
class explicitly (e.g. "In Prof Smith's class on Tuesday we discussed....).

And if you are a visual artist or want to supplement your literary
submission, you can send photographs and graphic art via email to
chidedit at u.washington.edu as a .pdf or .jpg file. But please, drop off hard
copies for all literary submissions.
