SALARY: $ 12.36 per hour - no benefits

$ 14.50 per hour - no benefits

HOURS OF WORK: Hours are flexible, with up to 20 hours per week.
POSITION SUMMARY: The position will perform a variety of long range and
current planning tasks. Planning Interns are given the opportunity to learn
about the planning profession and the functions and activities of a planning
department. Assigned projects may include but are not limited to: preparing
presentation graphics, conducting data collection and data entry, making
changes to Zoning and Comprehensive Plan maps, working with vendors and
organizing the printing of various documents.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Current enrollment in a undergraduate / graduate
program in Urban Planning, Architecture, Geography, Landscape Architecture,
or a closely related field. Excellent written skills are required with
preference given to individuals with graphics and computer skills (Windows
Office suite). The selected individuals should have experience and/or an
interest in one or more of the following areas: (1) preparing presentation
graphics; (2) conducting data collection; and (3) proofreading and editing.
A valid Washington State driver's license is required.
WORK CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES: Job involves desk work which may
be interrupted with phone calls and various tasks. Data entry and graphics
are typically done at the computer terminal.
