Registration for Spring Quarter started this morning, and there are a few
requests we have made that haven't yet been answered, but rest assured that
these changes will eventually show up in the Time Schedule, though I can't
say when, exactly:
1) We are offering a new course, Geog 317 (Stats & GIS) that may act as a
substitute for geog 326 in dept. requirements. It is currently listed as
geog 395, so register for that instead. At some point it will magically
convert to 317 on your schedule.
2) We are adding a "graduate student only" GIS course, Geog 560, that
grad students should take instead of Geog 360. You'll just have to be
patient and wait to register for 560 until it shows up in the time schedule
3) We are adding a research methods course, Geog 511, taught by Steve
Herbert, Tuesdays, 3:30-6:20. Again, be patient-it will get listed by March
29.
4) We are desperately trying to get Geog 315 moved from Condon Hall to
somewhere within walking distance of Smith. It may be a while before they
can accommodate us, though, so hold tight.
Sorry about these confusions.
Best,
Rick Roth
