*_Community Service Award. _*The Department of Geography seeks 
nominations for a Community Service/Service Learning Award to a 
Geography undergraduate major.The award comes with a $150 prize.The 
Community Service could be a formal part of a class (as in service 
learning) or it could be volunteer work (if the latter, be sure to 
demonstrate how it connects with your geography training).Nominations 
are being sought from geography faculty members.However, undergraduates 
should also consider self-nominating and approach the faculty member or 
instructor with whom the community service was associated (if it was 
linked to a class or overseen by a faculty member).If it is volunteer 
work not formally associated with the Department of Geography, email 
your self-nomination directly to Professor England. Nominations should 
describe the type of service provided, the duration of the commitment, 
the work products or learning outcomes growing out of the community 
service commitment, the broader social impacts of the commitment or the 
project, and any links to geography as a discipline.Please provide a 
name from the organization we can contact as a reference.In addition if 
there is a faculty member who is familiar with your work, please 
identify them in your nomination statement.Submissions to Professor Kim 
England by noon on Wednesday 9^th May, please.
