HSERV590H: International HIV/AIDS Program Planning and Evaluation. The
course is a CORE COURSE of the HIV/STI Graduate Certificate
Program that aims to equip future professionals in health, policy and
social science disciplines to address the complex interplay of biomedical,
social, economic, gender, political and geographic factors that impact the
spread and disease of HIV & STIs. This course provides an overview of the
program planning cycle of international HIV/AIDS program management with
an emphasis on skills building using the Synergy Project's (USAID) APDIME
Toolkit for International HIV/AIDS Program Managers in
resource-constrained settings. (Assessment, Planning, Design,
Implementation and Monitoring, and Evaluation.) 3 credits
