Interested in a public health fieldwork experience in Kenya this year, late summer/fall? Are you a graduate or professional student or medical resident at the UW?
Then come to the GO Health-Kenya information session. Friday, March 4, 10:00 am-11:00 am, Health Sciences Building, Room T359. Faculty and students who participated last year will be in attendance. Applications will be due on March 16, 2011.
THE UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON'S DEPARTMENT OF GLOBAL HEALTH is committed to training the next generation of global health professionals. In addition to providing students with an excellent education, we also provide them with practical field experiences. The GO-Health (global opportunities in health) program, which provides awards to global health students working overseas, is an important part of this training. GO-Health is offering an opportunity for graduate students, residents and/or fellows to work at the Merrueshi Village Clinic in Kenya for several weeks in 2011. The newly constructed clinic is sponsored by the Maasai Association and serves approximately 2,000 Maasai in rural Kenya.
